Polish Pictures
These photos were all taken in Poland. The first group is much older
than the second. The first in this group is a family wedding shot taken
outside the Mroz home at #28 Lokietka ( Krakow). You can see this in the
sign above the doorway, along with the name of my great-grandfather, Jan
Mroz. My grandmother, Marja (Maria, Mary) Mroz is the woman on the far
right. We are not sure who anyone else is, but believe that the young
man behind her is her brother, who died in WWI. We do not know his name
at present. We believe he might be the same young man standing at the
far right in the top row of the second photograph. There is a mark in
ink right above the head. The third photo shows what is written on the
back of that photo. If anyone can decipher it, please let me know. The
fourth photograph shows a family wedding, but it appears to have been
torn in half. We recognize my grandfather, Jan Jarkiewicz standing
directly behind the bride and groom. The photo is ripped right next to
that. If anyone recognizes anyone in any of these photographs, please
let me know! We have realized now that Jan's brother, Kasper is also in
the photo in the row behind Jan but to the left. In the middle between
them, the gentleman in the new family picture at the bottom of this page
can be seen. We're not sure yet who he is.

Place Unknown- |
On the back of the one with the tree
is written in Polish: "This is the only tree left standing in the
orchard after the bombing." One picture is of my grandmother's youngest
sister, who remained in Poland. I believe her name was Magdalena but am
not sure. In the third photo, the same sister is pictured with who I
believe to be her daughter in law and two grandsons. There is an address
on the back, with a name - Magdalena Szymanska (her husband's last name
would be Szymanski). The address says Ul. Lokietka # 10 A, Krakow.
The house is the same house pictured above, but the address is 10, not
28. If anyone can help me find these relatives, it would be much
appreciated. The tree and the family photo would have been taken
just after WWII I would think, so the boys would probably be in their
60's.
Shown below are two more pictures sent from our
Jarkiewicz family in France
